About The Seacat Group:

The Seacat Group is a financial systems software development firm specializing in financial applications for client/server and web environments. Incorporated in 1989, we are headquartered in San Francisco with a development office in Seattle. Prior to the development of Seacat Software, we focused our consulting practice on helping customers with implementation of mainframe financial software. Our numerous clients included Fortune 500 corporations in North America spanning the government, utilities, communications, manufacturing, aerospace, insurance, forestry, education, banking, publishing, oil, transportation, medical and restaurant services industries. This extensive and varied experience with the implementation of legacy systems led us to the development of our own software.

Seacat Systems incorporate a flexible, integrated modular design. We develop Procurement applications designed to provide customers with either a graphical front-end to their existing legacy systems while also providing client/server processing, or stand alone in a client/server or web environment. This approach provides a manageable migration path to the client/server or web environment while allowing time to integrate new technology and functionality with user training.

Some of our modules, such as the Requisition System, are self sufficient, automating costly manual functionality. Others, such as Pre-PO (Purchasing) and Pre-AP, are designed to provide online, real-time interfaces to host legacy systems. Our modules are fully functional as client/server front-ends and flexible and customizable enough to stand-alone. In this way, we provide the best of both worlds. Our customers can extend the life of their legacy systems investment while moving to new technology at their own pace.
